Project Overview
Students struggle to track campus events across scattered platforms. CampusConnect centralizes discovery with a playful, functional interface, clear hierarchy, and retro-inspired visuals like pixelated icons and soft drop shadows. Research, wireframing, and iterative UI testing helped balance nostalgia with usability. Through this project, I explored how visual design can transform complex ideas into clear and engaging experiences

The Challenge:
The visual concept draws inspiration from retro pixel graphics and early video game interfaces. This game-like aesthetic helps make the app feel fun and interactive, encouraging students to explore events the way they might explore levels or menus in a game. Pixelated icons and pastel colors create personality while maintaining clarity and readability within the interface.
The Process:
The project began with research into how students currently discover events and what hinders them from attending. I developed sketches and wireframes to organize event categories, navigation, and browsing features. Through iterative testing and visual exploration, the interface evolved into a balance between playful aesthetics and clear usability.
